I was very excited to watch Orangutan Diaries DVD. I ran to my home and my sister and I watched it. It’s about a lady who runs an orphanage for orangutans. Some are mean and some are calm and sick. This lady takes them all in and makes them better. The movie shows how people have orangutans as pets and keep them in crates. One person had two in a small crate. Another person had one in a crate and the orangutan had no room to move. The people weren’t home so they took the orangutans had gave it to the orphanage.
Hunters take sap from trees because it turns to rubber. Well the orangutans eat the sap, so the hunters will kill them. It is a long movie but I really liked it. My sister liked it until she fell asleep.
I like the movie, don’t you find orangutan just adorable. I hope WWF does something to protect this smart and precious species.
