Imperial Toy Reviews | Holiday Gift Guide

The latest and greatest holiday toys are definitely fun to try out especially when I have two eager girls ready to give them a run for their money.

We recently received a collection of toys from Imperial Toys. ROXX, Splat X and Kidz Bop…don’t those sound like toys you want in your house? Honestly, I”m glad we have them. It is such a varied selection so I want to give you some highlights.

Our favorite was the selection from Kidz Bop. My youngest absolutely loves to sing so the Megastar Mic was her top pick. It comes with a Backstage pass (which I had the honor of wearing), an autograph book (which her sister excitedly ask her to sign) and of course a microphone. The microphone as many features. The microphone will play a selection of 3 songs that you can sing along with, it will amplify your voice (as you can see in Paige’s first music video below) and it will also allow you to record your voice and playback. My 10 year old actually enjoys this. She was cleaning her room and would record questions for me and have Paige deliver the microphone for me to listen to and record my answer back to her. Oh the evening of fun we had! Throw in the Kidz Bop guitar and CD and we have our own band!!

My oldest has been asking for make-up. She knows that she isn’t allowed to wear it, but she is actually creating a movie and needs a make-up for her actresses. I love her little brain full of imagination so you could imagine the delight when her eyes set upon the Glammerati Backstyle Stage Studio. Glitter lip gloss, blush and brushes, eye shadow and more. As a mom I appreciate that it folds up compactly so it can be stored in a high place. :)

Next up is the Splat X Smack Shot. This is definitely a toy for all ages, including adults. Who doesn’t like to launch tiny things through the air (some up to 100 feet!)? You know those gushy toys we used to throw on the walls as kids and it would slowly “crawl” it’s way down? The Sticky Strike Shotz does just that. Add to the excitement with the LED target locator. All of this is available for under $10!

ROXX is one of those multipurpose toys. You can collect them, trade them and of course play with them. This is more of a complicated game. I honestly got a little lost reading the directions, but older kids seem to pick it up rather quickly. There are multiple levels of play. You can play with the cards included and pieces, a launcher and even online. I would recommend this as more of a toy for boys rather than girls.
