Disney on Ice presents Rockin’ Ever After Review

It was a rainy evening but it didn’t damper our night of fun.  Feld Entertainment did an absolutely amazing job creating their newest Disney on Ice: Rockin’ Ever After.

My girls and I began our night with crown decorating and coloring.  Paige was excited to receive a wonderful visit from Merida and take curtsey lessons from her.  We then met the team behind Disney on Ice.  Directors, choreographers and even some of the stars.  I loved to see my girls follow in my foot steps and take on the role of asking interview questions.

Off to the rink!  We had great seats and were elated to look through the program and find of all of our favorites.  I of course liked the surprise of Pinocchio.

The lights, music, and special effects were all top notch.  Fluorescent costumes and music from Cyndi Lauper appealed to the mom’s like me, while storybook characters came alive on the ice as Mickey read from his book.

The team took the show to a whole new level.  Ariel herself had a little aerial acrobatic training.  She performed amazing tricks up in the air and provided a great finale on the ice (with a little help of Prince Eric).

If you missed Disney on Ice this year I highly recommend you make plans to see it next year.  This was definitely a show for all ages and genders.  I was worried how the “bear” scene would be portrayed in the show, but was impressed to see the tasteful way that it was.  A simple paw was lit up on the ice – awesome!  I was also expecting a stadium of little girls, but that was not the case.  The creators geared the performances to capture the attention of both princesses and princes alike.  The souvenirs were too!  Swords or crowns.  Nemo hats or Belle cups.  Everyone was covered!  I highly recommended you stop for extra cash because with cotton candy, snow cones and popcorn passing up and down the aisles you’ll need it.

Now to my favorite part.  The lanterns from Tangled hold a special meaning to myself and my children.  I never would have expected to see lanterns in the show (even though they are a huge part of the movie), but to see them incorporate it was amazing.  Simple details were thought of throughout this entire products.  Again, I highly recommend you and your family see this show next time it comes to your town.
