Crane and Canopy | Elegant Bedding

My husband recently made a new bed for us.  Made from repurposed wood (aka pallets and more) I wanted a bedspread that fit the motif.  A little bit of elegance, a smidge of vintage, classic but simple.  Where in the world would I find a comforter like that?

I was recently approached by Crane and Canopy to review their duvet set and as soon as I check out their site I jumped on the opportunity.  Crane and Canopy has a business model that allows us, the consumer, to save money.  Yes, you heard that right.  You can experience high-quality designer products at a fraction of the cost.  They are able to pass these savings on to you by cutting out all the “middle men”.  With headquarters in the San Francisco Bay Area they house a specialized team to create the best product to deliver directly to you.

I opened by Crane and Canopy box to find a beautifully packaged set adorned with a lovely smelling sachet.  I excitedly unpacked everything and couldn’t wait to see it on our bed.  I had been using a duvet cover for quite awhile and it just bugged the stew out of me how the insert would hang out of the bottom (through the buttons).  The creators of Crane and Canopy must have experienced this as well because they eliminated this issue all together!

It was such an easy process to put the insert inside the duvet cover…my 5 year old could handle it.  You simply put the insert inside the zippered pouch (zipper – yeah!), smooth it out, zip it up and you’re good to go.  What makes this zipper even better is that it’s hidden.

Obviously the zipper is one of my favorite features.  I also love that since the cover is two-toned the top part of the cover looks like a fresh white sheet folded over.  This makes for a neatly made bed.  Which brings me to another benefit..we actually enjoy making our bed now!  It is so easy and looks beautiful.  Adding the shams is the special touch to complete the look.

Come back tomorrow for your chance to win from Crane and Canopy!
