Fine dining isn’t usually a term associated with a hotel restaurant, but the Hemisphere Steak and Seafood restaurant is changing that. Nestled inside of the Orlando International Airport, tucked into the the Hyatt Regency hotel you will find this little gem. When we stepped off the elevators we were engulfed with a beautiful view of the runway and exquisite decor. Greeted by a friendly hostess who promptly took us to our seat I noticed that there was not a bad seat in the room.
I was pleasantly surprised to find many of the dishes are from our surrounding cities. I felt that I would be getting fresh found while supporting our local economy. I also liked to see the organic options listed. I asked for a recommendation for appetizers and was told the calamari was the best. Locally harvested, never frozen and would melt in my mouth. Now, I must say that I feel my husband and I think of ourselves as “calamari connoisseurs” and are quite picky about our calamari. This was amazing!! We would go back just to eat this again.
When taking our order our server was very knowledgeable about every item. She knew the weight of the fish and where it came with. What spices were added to a sauce. She was attentive to refill glasses and clear dishes. Our entrees were delicious and full of flavor. We ordered three desserts (for four of us) and I must say the Chocolate Peanut Butter Stack was mouth-watering good. Peanuts, caramel and a brownie crafted into a delicious masterpiece.
I would love to bring my kids to take part the dining experience. This is a great restaurant for wedding receptions, business meetings or a great family outing.
