Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler Review

Rubbermaid isn’t just for plastic storage containers any more.

If you have been to my house then you know that I am a huge recycler.  I recycle my diet coke cans, tuna fish cans, cereal boxes, fruit snack wrappers, junk mail, yogurt containers, even the hang tags from new clothing (the plastic and the paper).  I have noticed the huge impact we were making as we were emptying our regular trash less than before.

Our family has 4 recycle bins.  Three in the garage.  One is for paper, one for plastics and glass and the last for aluminum cans to go to the recycling center.  My fourth container is inside underneath a cabinet where I have 2 paper bags from my grocery store where we separate the items before they make it to the garage.  This method has worked, but the container is quite bulky and the cabinet door doesn’t close all the way.

Rubbermaid asked if I would try their  Hidden Recycler and I gave them a huge yes!!  It hangs on the inside of the cabinet door and fits perfectly.  I opted for the easy (and quick) hanging method of using the hooks provided.  You do see the hooks, but I don’t mind.  If that look bothers you then you can use the enclosed screws to mount it to the cabinet door.

The Hidden Recycler bag is easily removed to take directly outside to empty.  I definitely love this item – only problem – now I need two!!

I was provided with the above mentioned product at no charge.  All opinions expressed are my own.
