Navigating Disney without kids | Is it worth it?

Growing up in Florida and raising my children in Central Florida, we have definitely had our fair share of Disney theme parks.  Do I love taking my children?  Most definitely!  I even had season passes for a short time which was great fun for my friend and I to take a children on a day off school.  We have made our trips to all four parks in Florida and have favorite features in each one.

Date night has been a blast with my husband and even our best friends. Epcot is a must for this one.  Our recent #disneyglobalevent brought us to Disney once again sans children.  This time was a little more special because I had my sister by my side.  I think the last time we were at Disney together was for my 13th birthday (that was forever ago!).  It was fun to see the excitement on the faces of folks in our group who have never been to Disney before and see how many mommy bloggers we could fit in a phone booth.  We had a few “big kids” with us and how often do you as a mom get to be in a picture?  We started at Epcot for the Flower and Garden Festival and then made our way over to Hollywood Studios.

I must advise that you don’t travel with a large group.  Divide up into smaller ones so you can make sure every gets to see or ride what they want.  I definitely had fun eating around the world.  Lunch in England, then headed over to Mexico for an appetizer and then France for dessert.  Yum!  I highly recommend meals at Epcot.  While in Mexico we went on the Gran Fiesta Tour ride – have you ever seen 10 mommy bloggers and two gents stuck on a boat? I think I pulled a ligament in my arm trying to stop us from entering the tunnel while the ride was down.

When we arrived at Hollywood Studios the fun with my sister began!  We had a smaller group and let a newbie decide where he wanted to go.  It was actually a treat because it was rides that I normally don’t go on (nothing too crazy though – just not all the awesome shows I usually watch with kids).  The Fanstasmic show is absolutely amazing!  Of course if you have seen it before this is the perfect time to jump in line for one of those long wait rides.  We took the opportunity to ride Toy Story which usually runs out of fast passes first thing in the morning.  The wait was an easy 45 minutes – time flies when you have such great scenery around you.  My favorite was definitely the Candy Land scene.

I absolutely loved my Tea Collection dress.  The La Rambla dress was so lightweight and comfortable, not to mention a beautiful shade of purple.  I highly, highly recommend this dress and look forward to wearing it quite often.
