He searches the world for HOT!, unique, interesting styles that look like they came from markets and bazaars common in other countries. Whether it’s a sterling silver ring from Thailand, a necklace from Mexico, or a cuff bracelet from a hip designer in New York City, the jewelry selections inspire a simple question, “WOW! Where did you find that?”
WHO: Although there truly is something for everyone at any age, Jalapeño Shopper customers are typically women 15 to 50 with a very strong sense of style. They know what they like, express their personal style through jewelry, rely on accessories to add spice to an outfit and like to mix classic timeless pieces with the new fresh and trendy. BACKGROUND: Jalapeño Shopper was created by a husband wife team of two former Public Relations professionals, based out of Bergen county New Jersey, who wanted to create a business that would offer them the opportunity to travel the world and showcase different crafts and cultures through jewelry design. Product descriptions are meant to inspire and make people feel great about their purchases knowing the meaning behind them and/or where they came from. Given the concept and formation of the site took place during the recession, 2009 / 2010, the creators wanted to make sure nothing exceeded $100 with the majority under $75.
